Where Air Albania Stadium is

Where Air Albania Stadium is

Air Albania Stadium is in central Tirana, close to Mother Teresa Square. The stadium complex is an octagonal, multifaceted structure designed by Marco Casamonti of Archea Associati, and includes a 112-metre-tall, 24-storey tower.

The current stadium stands on the site of the former Qemal Stafa Stadium. The original stadium was designed by Italian architect Gherardo Bosio in 1939–1941; construction began in August 1939, stopped in 1943 and was completed after World War II. The current venue was inaugurated in November 2019 during the Albania–France match.

The first floor of the complex houses the Museum of Albanian Football, with photographs, video and audio about the history of the sport in Albania. Its central location also fits naturally into a one-day Tirana itinerary.

How to check fixtures and events

How to check fixtures and events

Check the stadium or event organiser’s official channels for current fixtures and event details before planning a visit. Match schedules and ticket arrangements can differ from one event to another, so use the information for the specific fixture you plan to attend.

For an event day, confirm the advertised entry arrangements and any venue instructions before setting out. That gives you the relevant details for your ticket and arrival, rather than relying on arrangements for another match.

Tickets and stadium entry

Tickets and stadium entry

Stadium rules require each spectator to hold a personal, non-transferable ticket and show an official identity document to enter. Use the electronic entry device with your ticket, then take only the seat allocated to you.

Safety officials and stewards may search spectators and their belongings, including with hand wands, for illegal, banned or dangerous materials. The rules prohibit harmful or flammable substances, dyes, drugs, fireworks, bengalas, other pyrotechnics and smoke bombs.

Entry for people with disabilities is governed by Air Albania policy and is guaranteed only up to the full occupancy of allocated seats. Check the official site before you go for current event instructions and access arrangements.
